Home-based Adoption Social Worker - £34-£36k p.a.
Our charity is looking for highly motivated and committed Social Workers to support children, adults and families through adoption, making a real difference to their lives. If you have the passion and dedication to help us find the best adopters for these special children, we would love you to join our team. Diagrama Foundation is an ambitious and progressive charity and our adoption service is rated GOOD in all areas by Ofsted.
Diagrama Adoption was established to ensure adopters who had been working with Cabrini Children’s Society received continued support when the society ceased operation in 2014. The service has since evolved and we have been busy integrating our own principles and approach to adoption to ensure that those we work with receive the highest possible standard of care, support and preparation throughout this life-changing journey.
Our priority is to recruit and support adoptive families for children who are deemed 'harder to place'. We place the needs and safeguarding of the child at the heart of our service and seek for them to achieve in all areas of their lives.
Diagrama Adoption is part of the Diagrama Foundation which has been registered as a charity in the UK since 2009, delivering a range of services dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and adults. Our parent organisation, Fundacion Diagrama is one of the largest charities in Spain.
Our social workers:
- Are passionate about recruiting and assessing adopters, focusing on evidencing skills to support matching of children’s needs including; diversity, abilities, love and understanding of trauma.
- Provide dedicated support to adopters though family finding, matching, panel, introductions and placement, including an out-of-hours service
- Participate in planned meetings and reviews where children are placed prior to formal adoption
- Work in partnership with local authorities and other agencies to ensure child-focus and safeguarding priorities
- Participate in exchange days, recruitment events and celebration days
- HCPC Registered
- Previous post-qualified experience in adoption and/or fostering
Diagrama Adoption offers comprehensive supervision and support to our social workers; we are child-focused and reflective practice is built into our team, where creativity and innovative thinking are welcomed. We are well supported by our dedicated administration team. This is a great opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to make a real difference to the lives of the children and young people we work with. Part time and job share will be considered for the right candidates.

Independent Form F/PAR assessors
Home-based role, covering London and South East. Competitive rates paid.
Diagrama’s Adoption and Fostering services are looking for highly skilled independent social workers to undertake Form F and/or PAR Assessments. Our adoption and fostering service covers London and the South East areas and we are currently recruiting within this area. We are looking to have a ‘bank’ of suitably skilled and experienced independent social work assessors from across the south east area from which we can draw from. Independent social workers will report to the manager of the service and undertake assessments in line with the updated Coram/BAAF Competency Framework. Fees are competitive.
